Canadian DJ Show

Press Release

March 1st, 2011

The 2012 Canadian DJ Show presented by Pioneer DJ will be held March 17th and 18th, 2012 at the Doubletree by Hilton Toronto Airport. The show, in its 3rd year, has grown exponentially to include some of the biggest names in the DJ industry. Guest appearances and educational panels/seminars are just some of the shows top features.

For a third year the CDJ Show will cater to both aspiring and seasoned professional DJs, with a balanced emphasis on new products and services in the industry, and professional development through seminars, panels, training sessions and Q&As with product specialists. This year’s venue allows us to host even more product lines than ever before. Over 50 of the industry’s top manufacturers will be there to field questions and demo all the latest gear.

Guest DJs will be playing on the main stage on Sunday March 18. This year’s feature performance is a 4-turntable set by Starting From Scratch and a special guest DJ that won’t be announced until the show.

The feature panel at the 2012 CDJ Show is titled “Step Up Your Game” and will be moderated by Nick Fiorucci of Hi-Bias Records and ZipDJ. Panel speakers include: Eddie Gordon (Ce Ce Penniston, Whitney Houston), MC Flipside, Stonebridge and Ricky from Ill Kidz. This discussion will touch on how to take your DJ career to the next level in terms of live performance and production work.

This year we’ve scheduled events to allow guests to benefit from both educational seminars and the exhibitors. Saturday March 17 will be dedicated entirely to education and training, while Sunday March 18 will feature both seminar speakers and the main exhibit hall. Key seminar speakers include: DJ Shine (Nelly Furtado, Drake), Paul Sanderson (DJ Law & Contracts), and Gai Marcos (Codecs & MIDI Controllers). Witz Education is holding an all-day training session on Sunday. Both Adam K and Noah Pred will be giving hands-on training on Ableton and Logic and will both host feature seminars.
