Many people have emailed us regarding what will happen once The Guvernment closes its doors forever on January 25th.   We can now let you know that Sound Academy on 11 Polson St will be undergoing extensive renovations and being re-born as an entirely new nightclub.   “This will be more than just a new coat of paint” says Charles Khabouth, Ink’s owner.

“Sound Academy is going to be, in my mind, the next generation of clubbing. That means everything―the layout, the sound and lighting, technology and the overall comfort,” he said. “I recently had a big meeting  making sure that there’s enough washrooms, enough air conditioning, and enough ventilation. But for the sound and lighting, we’re going to go all out―making sure it’s spectacular.”  The new yet to be named space will be ‘futuristic’ and will surely be an icon of Toronto’s club scene in no time.
