Police fired shots at a stolen vehicle near the city’s Distillery District on Wednesday afternoon during a pursuit.

It happened at around 12 p.m. in the vicinity of Mill Street and Parliament Street.

The shooting took place after the driver of the vehicle allegedly attempted to run over an officer, a police source told CP24.

According to police, a male in his 60s was taken into custody following the chase.

No injuries were reported, but photos from the scene showed the stolen vehicle riddled with more than a dozen bullet holes.

Parliament Street has been closed from Lake Shore Boulevard to Mill Street as police investigate.
