Pokemon Go hasnt even been released yet in Canada but it has swept the nation in just 6 days. People are sideloading it onto their phones and taking to the streets trying to ‘catch them all’. The augmented reality game allows people to catch pokemon with their phones by travelling all over the city and catching them when they see them show up on their phone screens. They’ve even been spotted in the bathrooms of several nightclubs. To captialize on the feverish nature of this epidemic sweeping people 19 and over, Ink entertainment’s UNIUN Nightclub (473 Adelaide St W, Toronto) is throwing a Pokemon Go themed party called POCKET MONSTERS (event page) this Sunday July 17th. Our guess is there will be lures cast to attract Pokemon characters so its going to be a gong show of epic proportions for anyone caught up in this craze. We’ll save you the search, if you want to attend this party/meetup, heres the direct guestlist link. Good luck and have fun! Kudos to INK’s marketing team for capitalizing on this craze so soon.
